Almost all camera enthusiasts are interested in the detailed comparison of two or more camcorders. In this post, I will give you full comparisons between Sony A7R II vs A7R III.

Overall Introduction

A7R II is considered a great breakthrough when Sony applies the Exmor R Backside Illuminated CMOS sensor to the full-frame 35mm camera line.

Formerly, it’s not Sony with Sony RX100 but Samsung NX-1 camcorder uses BSI-CMOS APS-C sensor (>1”). Unfortunatelt, Samsung is no long a big rival in the camera market.

Sony A7R II is clearly different from A7R III. The former uses a 24.2 MP sensor with AA filter, the latter uses a 42.2 MP sensor without AA filter. But, both of them have high-quality image and high resolution.

The Sony A7R II was released in 2015 as one of the best mirrorless cameras, including 35mm sensors, fast phase-detection AF, DSLR lenses and 4K video recording.

Sony A7R II or Alpha 7R II is a sucessor of the A7R without flip-out mirror. It has the higher resolutiion than ever up to 42MP, full frame and other advanced features.

It’s not deniable that A7R II is a very ambitious product line of Sony in the large camera market, which competes against Canon or Nikon. This model has a strong firguration with the newest Exmor R CMOS sensor and high resolution.

Generally, I have highly been impressed with Sony A7R III because of the improvements of image qulity and useful functions.

Released in 2015 as well, Sony A7R III is a semi-professional camera. Sony upgrades this camera model with the Exmor R 42.4 MP sensor, new-generation BIONZ X image-processor, great focusing system, etc.
